Andromeda Bag (English)
Andromeda Bag is a knitted handbag with mosaic structure.
It is knitted in a 3 color linen stitch pattern, double-stranded on needle 9 mm (and 6 mm for optional i-cord edging).
The pattern comes in two sizes: small and large.
The rectangle bottom of the bag is knitted first, after judy’s magic or Turkish cast on. The bottom is knitted in the round, preferably with magic loop.
When the bottom is completed you pick up stitches all the way around the rectangle, and continue knitting upwards in the round.
To finish the bag you have several alternatives: handle and/or drawstring, flap, and i-cord edging.
It is possible to use only 1 or 2 colors. A description of how to use 2 colors can be found in the knitting pattern.
The bag can also be knitted in Rauma Fivel, Varde Pelsullgarn, Luna Lamullgarn, Sandnes Fritidsgarn or Filcolana Peruvian.
